Larry Taylor

Dr. Larry Taylor is a seasoned independent corporate director, having served on publicly traded, privately-owned, advisory and non-profit boards. Currently he is the President and board member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (Pacific Southwest) and Audit Committee Chairman for the Claremont Graduate University board of trustees. Further, he is Chairman of Novaria Aerospace Group’s Board of Management Representatives and is the Vice-Chairman of the Capital Expert’s Innovation Council. He is the Board Chairman for Guided Compass, a mobile app technology.

Previously, Dr. Taylor was the Chair of the Nominating/Governance Committee for the African American Board Leadership Institute.

Dr. Taylor served as the Principal-in-Charge of the West Coast Productivity Improvement Consulting Practice at Deloitte & Touche, a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young’s Manufacturing Consulting Practice, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of OBN Holdings, a publicly traded firm, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for The Creighton Group, Inc, a privately-owned international environmental management firm, an executive with Norris Industries and senior manager with General Motors.

Dr. Taylor earned a bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering from General Motors Institute, an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University and a PhD in Executive Management from the Drucker Business School at Claremont Graduate University. He is a NACD Board Leadership Fellow and holds the NACD Cybersecurity Certificate and the Global Reporting Initiative’s (GRI) Sustainability Certificate. He has authored three books on corporate governance and organizational culture: “The New Breed of Independent Corporate Director”, “Private Sector Praises”, and “Enhancing the Tone-at-the-Bottom”.
